The Chellaston Beaver Colony meets every Wednesday of term time from
5.15 – 6.30pm. We have a total of 20 Beavers. We are a very busy Beaver
Colony with the emphasis on having fun, fun, fun.
Spring saw the Beavers planting and growing sunflowers, we had some
lovely photos and pictures.
We have had a sleepover at a group camp in Needwood Forest, what a wet
weekend, but we still had lots of fun and games!!
We have just completed our safety badge, having earlier visited Ascot
Drive Fire Station to learn about safety. We enjoyed a practical
demonstration of the fire officers job and equipment, a thoroughly wet
evening had by all!!!
Late September, with superb weather, saw a visit to Twin Lakes with
Beavers and Cubs from our district, photos can be found on the link to
the photo gallery.
We have just completed the Global Challenge thus enabling 3 of our
Beavers to be awarded the highest honour they can get, the Bronze Scout
Award, just in time for their journey up to Cubs.
