CubsCubs in 2011
It’s been a busy year at Cubs. We have a full pack, currently 22
Cubs. Most pack nights have been spent working on the six Challenge
Badges. These are:
Promise, Creative, Fitness, Outdoor, Community and Global
The pack has completed 40 Challenge Badges in all, aided by visits from
Blue Cross and a Sudan Water Aid volunteer.
Three Cubs completed all the Challenge badges to achieve the Chief
Scouts Silver Award – the highest award at Cubs.
In addition, there have been 34 Activity Badges awarded – these are more
often done on the Cub’s own initiative.
We capped off the year with a Megazone Christmas Party, where a further
three Beavers were invested into Cubs. A good time was had by all!
What of the New Year? We will continue to work on the Challenge Badges.
But, as the nights become lighter, the programme will move onto a more
outdoor theme.
Waiting List – the pack runs a waiting list. However, with the success
of the group’s Beaver colony, it is difficult to allocate spaces.
